French Racing Brand Hutchinson's take on the classic DHR 2 pattern. Designed for dry, hard trails that make up the majority of the Australian riding landscape.
The 2.4 tyre suits fans of the DHR2 who are looking for a slightly faster tyre. The lower centre knobs reduce rolling resistance, whilst keeping the meaty side knobs for great cornering characteristics.
Isabeau Courdurier won three EWS/EDR championships on these tyres, proving that they have what it takes to set fast times on Enduro stages.
Hutchinson's 2x66 TPI casing has protection somewhere between a Maxxis DD and DH tyre. They have thinner, more supple sidewalls than the Maxxis equivalent. That gives them a fantastic ride feel and quality. The trade-off is that they do not have as stiff a carcass for true DH riding. We think there are other, more suitable tyres for people who predominantly ride in lift-assisted bike parks.
The rubber compound and distribution is identical in Shore hardness to Maxxis MaxxTerra, with a softer rubber on the shoulder knobs.
