The oil contains a Teflon additive to prevent dust particles and other dirt from sticking in the first place.
Dry Lube is particularly suitable for dry conditions. Because a dry chain clogged with dust not only looks bad, but also changes the sprocket only moderately well. It coats the chain with a protective film, so degrease the chain well beforehand
