Peaty's Monarch Mushroom Trail Comfort Grips, Black

With the Monarch Grip, Peaty's has now also dedicated itself to the cockpit on the bike and delivers a very well thought-out grip that meets all the requirements of the sport. With Steve Peat and the other team riders, the development engineers can draw on more than 20 years of experience and requirements from the Downhill World Cup and incorporate this knowledge into the development process.

Over the course of 18 months, more than 1,000 riders were asked about their favorite grips and their likes and dislikes. Based on these results, countless 3D print samples were created - before the final Monarch Grip was finally ready. This is characterized by an offset and tapered core and grip profile. This means that the top of the grip has more cushioning material, which significantly increases comfort.

The grip profile is also tapered to relieve pressure on the hands and counteract arm pump. To protect the hands, a small flange has been added to the inside of the grip and the clamping has been minimized to maximize the grip area. The underside of the grip has a zig-zag profile to improve grip and control in the thumb area. In combination with the zig-zag profile, the groove structure on the underside of the grip runs outwards, which is intended to increase comfort.

On the top of the Monarch grip, you can choose between two different profiles: the Mushroom design is designed for comfort, while the Knurl design is aimed at racers and provides a defined grip feel. The Monarch is available in two different diameters and 5 colors so that everyone can find their perfect grip. If that's not enough, you can personalize your grip with the separately available clamping rings in 12 colours (the grip is supplied with black clamping rings as standard). It goes without saying that the environment is very important to Peaty's development engineers, which is why the core of the grip is made from 80 percent recycled ocean plastic.

Mushroom Trail Comfort Design
This design is derived from the typical structure on the underside of a mushroom and has been used in BMX sports for decades because it is best at absorbing shocks and impacts. The Mushroom design is aimed at those riders who are looking for maximum comfort.
