SIMPLE JUST GOT BETTER - Chain Tensioner Expert
The Colab Expert Chain Tensioner is the latest addition to our single-speed drivetrain family. It offers a highly safe, robust and easily adjustable chain tensioning system designed for freeride and downhill use on mountain bikes.
The Expert offers a 15 mm adjustable chainline and an adjustable stop limiter. Together with the clamping screw on the mounting bracket and a higher spring tension, the new features ensure noticeably less chain slap, even on the hardest landings. The Expert gives you a quieter, reliable and adjustable single-speed setup.
Combined with our new Expert singlespeed sprockets and the Sprocket Guides, which act like a chain guide for the rear sprocket - the chain stays securely in place.
The CNC-machined aluminium guide pulleys in combination with the new tooth design of the rear sprocket ensure precise guidance of the chain.
Main:
- Scrounging disc: Ensures a tight fit and prevents the tensioner from slipping in the event of vibrations. (lies between derailleur hanger screw and mounting bracket).
- Adjustable stop limiter: The new limiter keeps the tensioner in place and therefore functional even in the event of breakdowns. Together with the scrounging disc, it ensures a secure fit even with hard impacts.
- Set screw + stop limiter: Makes it easier to reattach the clamp to the derailleur hanger by using the previously set stop limiter.
- Mounting bracket: New mounting bracket that allows a chainline adjustment of 15 mm.
- Increased spring tension: Keeps the tensioner taut, reduces chain slap and minimizes the risk of chain jumping.
